The location of Kiawah Cottage is perfect! Our two daughters and son-in-law were able to walk all over the island. They loved watching the dolphins. Coffee table was perfect for jigsaw puzzle’s on the very cold days. Our son-in-law loves to cook and found the kitchen well stocked with all that he needed. We can’t wait to come back!

Three friends and I spent a most delightful 5 days at Kiawah Cottage. Elizabeth has provided everything anyone could want to make a most comfortable and pleasurable visit. The cottage is a block from the beach which was great to walk and ride bikes. Elizabeth provided chairs to take to the beach which was most enjoyable. The cottage was immaculate, tastefully decorated and no detail was left unattended. We loved everything about the cottage and Kiawah Island.

Kiawah Island is my happy place and now so is Kiawah Cottage! Until recently we had no idea Oceanwoods existed and then we found this lovely cottage, such a beautiful and comfortable place! The cottage is beautifully and tastefully decorated; the kitchen and baths well supplied; and most important to me, the cottage was immaculate, so I felt at home away from home. The beds and furniture were quite comfortable and the screened porch was a great place for a nap, reading and hanging out. We loved being steps away from the beach and bike trails. Elizabeth and her husband were great about communicating all we needed to know for our trip. I am dreaming about the next time!

This is our second time to stay here and we love it!. My wife is very particular about cleanliness and this place does not disappoint. Sure, the location near the boardwalk is perfect, but we will keep coming back for the comfort, cleanliness, and wonderful communication with the owner. By far, this is the best place we have ever stayed in.

Our experience from the booking, communication with the host and our stay was 5 out of 5 stars. We used the cottage for a small business retreat. Kiawah Island is a great place for a business event. The cottage has perfect accommodations for our group and the host was fantastic. We were able to have multiple team building events around the island that included bike riding, golfing and long walks on the beach. The cottage has easy access to the beach. We carried coolers and extra chairs the short distance to the beach with little effort. We also took advantage of the convenient beach chair and umbrella service. The golf courses are second to none and provide a beautiful way to experience the beauty Kiawah Island has to offer, even if you don’t golf. Some of the team members were allowed to ride with the golfers during their round. Our host provided us with great recommendations for restaurants within the island. The crispy shrimp at the Ryder Cup restaurant, on the famous Ocean course, will always be our favorite. The breakfast buffet at the Sanctuary is a special treat that must be experienced as well. The Breakfast grits there are amazing! It was an incredible week. We give our host and the Kiawah Cottage a five star rating. We look forward to returning next year for a personal vacation.

What can I say? Elizabeth has done an amazing job and Kiawah Cottage is incredible. Elizabeth has thought of every little detail that makes the difference between a good beach vacation and a great beach vacation. If you book Kiawah Cottage, you will not have a moment thinking, “you know what would make this a little better?” Our family had a blast. The location is perfect. The screened porch is great for an afternoon nap. We cannot wait to get back to the Kiawah Cottage!

We spent a restful week at Kiawah Cottage in October 2021. The minute we opened the front door and stepped into this beautiful home, we knew we had chosen well. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood very close to beach access, and the home itself is comfortable and immaculate with a well stocked kitchen. Included is a “house and activity book” with bicycle rental and restaurant information which made fun to-do plans easy to arrange. And it was the long walks and bike riding through woodland settings and on the beach that set the relaxing tone for our days and evenings. The host and her husband were wonderful people to communicate with, and we remain grateful and feel blessed to have had this indelible experience.

This was another vacation at this cottage. Two years ago, we stayed here at Christmas and experienced a series of downpours that flooded the area around the cottage. However, with great improvements this year was far and away better. We did have rain but nothing major and we were glad that the cottage had no problems. We love this location as it is close to the beach. The upgraded kitchen was wonderful. Our only problem was we had to leave and return home.

This was our favorite Oceanwoods cottage that we’ve rented in 10 years. Everything is as described. Elizabeth was incredibly helpful and provided so many extras that are not usually supplied when renting. Having good quality beach chairs and beach towels provided was wonderful. The kitchen is extremely organized and stocked with every cooking supply one could need. Additionally, the stock of trash bags and cleaning supplies was greatly appreciated. We will return, for sure!

We are repeat guests to Kiawah Cottage and love every minute of our time there. The location is ideal and the cottage is so comfortable and clean! The owners are incredibly gracious and are committed to providing the best experience for your vacation. There is nothing that you need when you arrive- they have thought of everything! Just relax and enjoy! This is a gem on the island!
